Club Coach: Brenton Wilson
Wilbur has been coach of the club for the past two seasons, stepping down from his role as A grade captain to give all sides his full attention. He certainly knows his way around the club, having been there since the 1997/98 season, scoring 1,161 runs at 25.8, while also wicketkeeping for a fair bit of his career. Before that he was playing at district club Sturt so he certainly knows a lot about cricket, and brings a wealth of experience to the role.Coach Brenton Wilson

Wilbur's off spin bowling in the nets is also a highlight of some training sessions, with the loud and vigorous appeals striking fear into the heart of the batsman, while the introduction of the 1 to 6 and back to 1 runs resemble the amount of coke cans that Wilbur can put down on a good night.

There is one other fearsome aspect to Wilbur. The only thing he will grill you over more than getting out to a silly shot is if you have done something to earn a pink jacket nomination. He has the ability to make every nomination sound like it could be the winner, but somehow anything stupid he does seems to slip through the net.

1st XI: Division A2
Captain: Andrew Muller

Andrew Muller has represented the Unley Cricket Club as a damaging left arm A Grade bowler for 5 seasons, taking 97 wickets at an average of 18.5, and over the last three years has also taken over the role of captain, attempting to guide the A grade into the finals. It has been a long time between drinks, and his team for this year is a mixture of youth and experience. Young batsman Ross Nicholson and fast bowler Jody Hardenberg have only played a handful of A grade games, a stark contrast to the experience of Greg Vaughan, Muller and Scott Brennan. With this mix, and Tim Smith's continued form with the ball they should be able to make the top four.

3rd XI: C1 Grade
Captain: Michael Lardner

4th XI: C2 Grade

LOA Grade
Captain: Brett Mancini

Having been a former AFL footballer Brett certainly knows what it takes to succeed. His side won the LOB Grand Final last year in another very successful year, and with players like Jeff and Steve Zweck excelling with both bat and ball, as well as John Athanasiou making another mountain of runs they also have the potential to go all the way again.

The juniors began in 1998, with life member Peter Hanson playing a major role in starting them up. Shane Edmonds then took over after one season, also putting in a huge effort before handing over the reigns to now club president Warren Ainscough. Andrew Weinmann now plays a major role, but a number of senior players, as well as club coach Brenton Wilson, get involoved. The juniors play at Unley High School on a turf wicket, something not many of the clubs they play against have the pleasure of doing, while special functions where Redbacks players come out to training have occurred in the past.

The aim of Unley's junior program is to develop cricketers to play at the highest possible level. Whether that be Test Cricket, state cricket, district cricket or senior cricket at Unley, every effort is put in to ensure that this occurs. A number of players have been successful in this during the junior program's short history. Nick Hussey and Jason Pilkington are plying their trade in the juniors at district club Sturt, while a number of other players have made the step up to play senior cricket for Unley in the last couple of seasons. In 2003/2004, 17 year old Andrew Caire notched up his maiden century in the F grade in round 1 scoring 128,and he is now regularly playing in higher grades. 16 year old quick Daniel Delawyer also picked up his first 5 wicket haul in the D grade in round 2. Other junior players to make the step up to senior cricket so far include Josh Stevens, Shane Newbound and Kyong Duncan.
